Chicago, IL (February 24, 2009) – AllianceQ, the recruitment collaboration of Fortune 500 companies, announced today the appointment of Stephen Lowisz as Chairman. Lowisz is CEO and Founder of Qualigence, a highly-respected recruitment research and professional search firm headquartered in Livonia, Michigan.

As Chairperson of the Alliance, Lowisz will act as a liaison between AllianceQ members and its Board of Governors, will work to promote AllianceQ throughout the recruitment industry, and provide strategic direction and recommendations, while leading quarterly board meetings.

“Having the right leadership with a certain depth of expertise and experience is critical to the success of AllianceQ,” said Jason Kerr, CEO of QuietAgent, the online recruitment company that developed the technology behind the collaboration. “Steve is a respected leader in the recruitment industry with the kind of knowledge and insight that will help AllianceQ continue to grow and innovate.”

Said Lowisz: “Being Chairperson for AllianceQ is not only a great opportunity, but a natural fit, given my experience in the industry. Human Resource Executive Online

November 1, 2008

Paul Gallagher reports on the Fortune 500 companies that have come together to create their own free talent pool, AllianceQ, where millions of candidates who are turned down for jobs are now given an opportunity to be found for jobs - rather than be sent to the recruiting ”black hole of no response”.

“Tim Kutzer, manager of staffing operations for Richfield, Minn.-based Best Buy… says that the company’s motivation in joining AllianceQ was strongly influenced by brand preservation. “I think it shows that we’re willing to look at things a little differently, from how we treat our candidates and also how we find talent,” he says.

Rather than send rejected candidates a boilerplate e-mail, Kutzer says, AllianceQ members thank candidates and invite them to share their skills anonymously with other AllianceQ members. The company receives about three million applicants per year, and Kutzer says those are millions of reasons to preserve the brand image.”
